Titans Ready For 2007 Season
Chicago, IL--After a tumultuous ending to last year's season, the Titans have re-constituted themselves to compete in 2007.
"Basically, we shut down operations in July of last year because a number of our pitchers fell off the face of the Earth", said GM Wayne Hegner. "I was reluctant to give the team another go but Jim Walker convinced me."
In 2007, Hegner will step away from day-to-day operations with Jim Walker taking over most on and off-field managerial duties. The intent then is for Hegner to return to the dugout in '08 with Walker handling the GM duties.
This season the club will only play in the Skyscraper Baseball League competing in only 30 games versus the 65 of a year ago. Returning to the club is a number of last year's leaders as well as former professionals Keronn Walker and Grant Schara.
